We employ around 4,800 people across South London and other sites in the UK. It is a diverse team of talented individuals, spanning a wide range of specialities and benefiting from many world-leading healthcare experts. We deliver more than 14,000 training experiences each year for our staff, providing an extensive range of learning opportunities. Staff can benefit from exceptional professional development opportunities and we will work with you to build your career in mental health. In addition, our working relationship with King's Health Partners allows those working at the Trust to get involved in academic research.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the FiND (Functional Integrated Neurological Disorders) Day Programme at Bethlem Royal Hospital.

The FiND programme aims to provide a holistic and integrated multidisciplinary treatment for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). It is also aimed at providing a more accessible service for individuals with FND who do not require in-patient treatment.

The programme is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team all of whom have specialized in the treatment of neurological disorders and/or mental health. The programme is appended to the Lishman Unit which is an in-patient unit that specializes on neurological and neuropsychiatric rehabilitation.

This post would suit someone with some experience of working with adults with mental health difficulties. It would be advantageous if the applicant had an understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as this is the primary approach that the service employs as the patients treatment.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a desire to provide and develop high quality occupational therapy interventions for patients within a day patient setting who have complex mental & physical health needs.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, be motivated and prepared to work autonomously, and have an enthusiasm for developing knowledge/skills for working with Functional Neurological Disorders. The post holder will join a highly motivated and passionate team who value the contribution of Occupational Therapy. Clinical support and supervision will be provided.

We are committed to helping to develop the people that come to work with us. We know that the Trust can only be as good as the people who work here and we’ll invest in you to maximise that potential. That’s why we really welcome and value people so highly. In short, if you’ve got what it takes we’d be delighted for you to come and work with us.
