The Lishman Unit is a 15-bedded specialist ward which takes patients requiring inpatient neuropsychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.

As a national specialist service our objective is to provide outstanding specialist care and treatment. To achieve the highest standards, we operate to a culture of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our practice.

We are seeking to appoint 1 fulltime enthusiastic, energetic and clinically confident band 6 Clinical Charge nurses to join our multidisciplinary team.

As a clinical charge nurse you will support the Clinical Service manager in the aspects of ward management by working clinically as a member of the nursing team and in partnership with the Clinical Service Manager to achieve a quality service. You will take a lead role in clinical care, modelling and maintaining high standards of practice. You will have excellent leadership qualities, experience in managing and appraising junior staff, providing clinical supervision and guidance, with strong time management skills including effective delegation, auditing, and working to own initiative.

In return you will be given support through an individualised personal development plan to further enhance your existing clinical skills and knowledge. You will have opportunities to attend specialist training related to the clinical area and future opportunities to be involved in research.
