We deliver specialist neuro rehabilitation services to provide assessment, investigation and treatment for patients with: a neurological disorder, a mental illness or other neuropsychiatric conditions.

You will gain a deeper understanding of Neurological illness and as a direct result of acquired brain injury and how it often influences a patient's behaviour for example from head injury, hypoxia or a cerebrovascular accident and young onset dementia including Huntington’s disease.

Your goals as the neuro-rehabilitation nurse will assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function and independence. Your excellent skills as a neuro - rehabilitation nurse means you will contribute to and implement treatment strategies that are based on scientific nursing theory related promoting physical, psychosocial, and neurological wellbeing.

As the nurse in charge you will have the ability to manage complex situations and supervise HCAs and students. You will be a strong advocate for patients, while providing a therapeutic environment for their continued rehabilitation.

You know how to build a therapeutic and meaningful relationship with a patient who comes to you with significant physical and psychological difficulties but with your active involvement in both the planning and delivery of their care means the patient will have improved outcomes.

We want you to maintain your knowledge and skills as part of this role we offer specialist training in managing and supporting this patient group.

If successful at shortlisting stage you will be invited to an assessment on the Friday, 22nd October 2019 at the ORTUS learning and events centre.

**Please note that if you do not state the month and year that you have completed your Nursing qualification you will not be invited to the assessment.**
