Westways is an 18-bedded mixed-sex inpatient rehabilitation unit, based in Bethlem Royal Hospital, for working age adults who are residents of the borough of Croydon in South London.
The unit sits within the trust’s complex care psychosis pathway. We provide 24 hour rehabilitation, treatment and care for people with severe and enduring mental ill health. The team works towards a 9-month care pathway.
Using a recovery pathway, we help people to maintain their health and move towards greater autonomy, managing their illness and maintaining their independence in the community. Our team includes people from a range of health and social care professions. We offer specialised services to improve the physical and mental well being and social inclusion of individuals with psychosis, particularly with complex care needs.
Our team work closely with families and carers using a behavioural family therapy approach, supporting them to cope and facilitate the building of positive relationships.
We are particularly interested in hearing from positive, dynamic and enthusiastic RMNs and RNLDs, who enjoy participating in a range of activities with service users and supporting their recovery journey.
We welcome applications from qualified RMNs, RNLDs or newly qualified students qualifying in 3 months
If successful at shortlisting stage you will be invited to an assessment on the Friday, 22nd February 2019 at the ORTUS learning and events centre.
**Please note that if you do not state the month and year that you have completed your Nursing qualification you will not be invited to the assessment.**
