This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills in the management and leadership of a busy, dynamic Crisis Team that provides a community based CAMHS service to children and young people presenting in crisis with mental health difficulties.
This will appeal to a dynamic, enthusiastic clinician especially from a Nursing or Social Work background, however, we would welcome any other professional backgrounds with suitable experience.
You will manage a small team that includes Consultant Psychiatry and nursing, with access to Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, & Social Work, and ensure that systems are in place and working effectively for clinical service provision. We are particularly interested in those evidenced by performance indicators such as outcome measures, feedback and quality measures.
You will work both at our purpose built CAMHS Team base (Kaleidoscope) as well as at the local Acute Hospital (Lewisham). You will be experienced in forging relationships and working in partnership with other agencies to support integrated practice.
You will manage a small caseload with the focus on providing timely assessments as appropriate, 7 day follow-ups and short evidence based interventions to children and young people seen by the service, in crisis or via A&E.
The service is evolving its practices, and you in collaboration with the senior leadership group will support the forward development of service provision.
Lewisham CAMHS is a great place to work, with experienced, skilled, forward thinking and supportive staff – come and join us!
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
