This pivotal position is to support regular R&D budgetary reporting and analysis, including involvement in preparation of the monthly R&D management accounts. You will also be expected to offer financial advice and guidance to all levels of management and research leads.  To allow appropriate research funding flows, the role will ensure robust financial costing and monitoring of R&D Projects.  The appointee will work closely with the Joint R&D Office at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience (IoPPN)  at Kings College London and other research partners, and will have a key input in preparing the Trust’s external R&D reports, including NIHR CRN and ASTOX Returns.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and dedicated finance professional.  You will be expected to promote and deliver a customer-focused service and to work as part of a team..  You will have an understanding and appreciation of research finance, within the NHS, university, or other research focused organisation.

 

You will need excellent IT skills, with experience of Finance reporting systems and be a competent user of Microsoft Excel and Word.  You will have the ability to analyse and interpret data and be able to manage your workload and prioritise effectively. Your written and verbal skills will be strong and you will be able to communicate financial information in a meaningful way to others across the Trust and partner organisations.
