Croydon is geographically the largest and the second most populated borough in London. The borough is interesting and unique in that it is made up of urban and suburban areas and many green spaces, some protected under Green Belt laws. The borough is rich in ethnic and cultural diversity; BME communities make up about 40% of the population. With recent regeneration investments, Croydon is a vibrant place to live and work.
East Croydon mainline train station provides accessible, easy and fast routes from Croydon to Sussex, Surrey and Kent and to central London and north London (via London Overground and ThamesLink). Croydon is linked to the M23 and M25 motorway and the A23 providing links to central London and the south coast (Crawley, Reigate, East Sussex, Horsham).
We have close links with our sister IAPT services within SLaM, with the IAPT training courses at the Institute of Psychiatry and University College London (UCL). Low-Intensity Therapists receive regular case management supervision from a CBT Therapist and, clinical skills group supervision facilitated by our link-Tutor on the PWP UCL course and experienced CBT Therapists. We aim to provide patient-centered, responsive and high quality psychological health and wellbeing services for the Croydon community. We provide high quality clinical governance structures and systems to ensure this and support our staff.
You can expect a friendly, creative, welcoming and social team. We take pride in involving our staff, drawing upon their skills and strengths and have a Staff Health and Wellbeing Champion.
