Info About the Service

Our Acute Pathway provides a central role to inpatient care at across all our sites, delivering a broad spectrum of expert services to service users and carers.

Acute wards offer psychiatric assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps reduce risk to self and others.

Our service brings together teams of health and social care professionals, including nurses, social workers and psychiatrists.

Why Work Here

Our purpose is to support all staff with good experiential learning, regular supervision, access to training and a continuous programme of professional development inclusive of preceptorship, mentorship and revalidation. We also provide a wide range of specialist SLAM courses such as CBT, Physical Health Care, Mindfulness and also external training up to and including Masters level.

We have a strong focus on staff well-being and support and believe in investing in our workforce to provide stability, consistency and a healthy safe professional group.

As well as a robust support package, you’ll benefit from regular individual and group supervision and an appraisal, and access to a Preceptorship and Mentorship to help you develop.  Our 9 month Preceptorship programme is for newly qualified nurses and nurses that have not completed this type of programme and helps a nurse to fully embed their skills.  Once the programme is completed you will receive an increment and increase and you will also receive your annual increment.

We are committed to helping to develop the people that come to work with us.  We know that the Trust can only be as good as the people who work here and we’ll invest in you to maximise that potential.  That’s why we really welcome and value people so highly. In short, if you’ve got what it takes we’d be delighted for you to come and work with us.
