Our Acute Pathway provides a central role to inpatient care at our Southwark, Lewisham and Lambeth sites, delivers a broad spectrum of expert services to service users and carers.

We offer psychiatric assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps to reduce the risk to self and others.

Our service brings together teams of health and social care professionals, including nurses, social workers and psychiatrists.

Our Men Only wards in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham are as follows:

Area: Southwark
Aubrey Lewis 3 - Aubrey Lewis 3 (AL3) is a ward at the Maudsley Hospital. We provide adult inpatient care and treatment for men, aged 16-65, who have severe mental illness.

John Dickson - John Dickson Ward is an adult inpatient service. We provide care and treatment for men, aged 16-65, with severe mental illnesses who need 24 hour hospital care.

Area Lewisham:
Powell Ward - We provide services for men and women, aged 18-65, with acute psychiatric illnesses. Acute illnesses start quickly and have distressing symptoms

Clare Ward - We provide services for men and women, aged 18-65, with acute psychiatric illnesses. Acute illnesses start quickly and have distressing symptoms.

Area Lambeth:
Luther King Ward - We provide psychiatric assessment, treatment and care for men who require hospital treatment. We help to reduce the risk of harm to self and others.

Our purpose is to support all staff with good experiential learning, regular supervision, access to training and a continuous programme of professional development inclusive of preceptorship, mentorship and revalidation. We also provide a wide range of specialist SLAM courses such as CBT, Physical Health Care, Mindfulness and also external training up to and including Masters level.

We have a strong focus on staff well-being and support and believe in investing in our workforce to provide stability, consistency and a healthy safe professional group.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, caring and creative people to come and join us and work within an exciting and fast paced environment that provides inpatient care to acutely unwell adults.

We welcome applications from final year of your RMN/LD students qualifying in 3 months and as well as experienced qualified nurses.

If successful at shortlisting stage you will be invited to an assessment on the Friday, 8th December 2017 at the ORTUS learning and events centre.

**Please note that if you do not state the month and year that you have completed your Nursing qualification you will not be invited to the assessment.**
