This is an exciting opportunity to lead and work within our inpatient services in the Acute CAG focussing on Dual Diagnosis and Substance misuse within our patient population.
This post is a substantive band 7 role where 1 practitioner per borough will be based within the inpatient service working closely with service users, carers, colleagues and other professionals involved in the care pathway.
This requires a dynamic and creative but consistent approach to inpatient care and our expectation is for a highly skilled practitioner who can work collaboratively with service users and staff to deliver high quality evidence based interventions.
An emphasis will be on safety and promotion of health and well-being amongst our service users who present with Dual Diagnosis.
All applicants must be qualified mental health nurses who have experience of working with mental health problems such as psychosis and frequent presentations to services for example.
The applicant must be passionate and informed about the challenge of Dual Diagnosis and be an effective communicator who is reliable, visible and present in their approach.
This post will help staff to deliver on key areas such as CQUINs and high quality teaching for staff, service users and carers.
The post is full time and will operate from 09:00- 17:00 Monday - Friday.
The Trust’s core value states that 'everything we do is to improve the experience of people using our services and to promote mental health and well-being for all'.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
