Have you ever wondered what it's like working on an Early Intervention Unit?
Leo Unit currently has Band 5 vacancies so this could be your chance to find out!
Leo Unit based at Lambeth Hospital provides in-patient care to 10 males and 8 females experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
The ward team delivers care to individuals aged from 18-35 with a focus on psychosocial evidence based interventions, considered commencement of medication and collaborative engagement with patients and carers in treatment decisions.
The multi professional team provides a thorough assessment for those where diagnosis is unclear across all types of psychoses. Occupational therapists together with nursing staff provide a mix of activity and recovery focused groups.
With a newly appointed Consultant and current recruitment underway for a new ward manager, this is an exciting time to join the team.
The ward has successfully been awarded a Maudsley charity grant to fund additional psychology sessions across ward and community to ensure a smooth transition for discharged patients.
The ward takes patients from across the 4 SLaM boroughs and works closely with all 4 Community Early Intervention teams. The ward is managed within the Lambeth Operational Unit which has the advantage of being part of a new and innovative Alliance Partnership which affords greater opportunity for creative and flexible working.
We welcome applications from qualified RMNs, RNLDs or newly qualified students qualifying in 3 months
If successful at shortlisting stage you will be invited to an assessment on the Friday, 22nd February 2019 at the ORTUS learning and events centre.
