LEWISHAM INTEGRATED PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPIES TEAM CLINICAL OR COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGIST; SECONDARY-CARE FULL-TIME, ONE YEAR LOCUM, BAND 7
This is an exciting secondment opportunity to join a secondary care psychological therapies team, providing assessment and treatment to patients with mood, anxiety and/or personality difficulties. This is a one-year temporary band 7 post to cover maternity leave. The post holder would be based in the IPTT, Ladywell Unit, Lewisham Hospital, and would also spend two days a week in the Assessment and Liaison Team (CMHT) at Southbrook Road, Lee, where four clinical and counselling psychologists provide a service. Members of the IPTT provide a range of therapies including cognitive, psychodynamic, CAT, trauma therapies, systemic and group therapies. Good supervision, support and opportunities for collaboration are provided.
The postholder would consult to the A&L team, assess and treat patients who are referred from A&L as well as patients referred by IAPT. Therapy would be mainly 12-16 sessions.
The post holder will have a doctoral degree or equivalent in clinical or counselling psychology, experience of working in a secondary care adult mental health setting. You will be eligible for chartered status with the BPS and be registered as a practitioner psychologist with the HCPC. You will be required by the Trust to maintain your registration through regular supervision and CPD, as a condition of continued employment.
Lewisham IPTT is located in Lewisham hospital, eight minutes’ walk from Ladywell station with fast trains to London Bridge.
