This is an exciting secondment opportunity for a minimum of 6 months (with the possibility of extension) to work as a Band 6 Clinical Charge Nurse on Nelson ward; female acute ward within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust(SLaM).

Nelson ward is an 18 bedded female acute admission ward where you will gain experience from working with service users with the most acute and often complex mental health presentations. This would allow you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to care for those with some of the most challenging needs.

You would be joining an excellent team of clinical charge nurses who will be able to support your development in this role; in collaboration with the ward manager.  Nelson ward is a fast past environment where one can develop clinical expertise and leadership skills quickly within a supportive environment; an excellent opportunity for staff looking for development in order to further their careers.

If you are an experienced Band 5 Nurse or a current Band 6 looking to work in a different clinical environment and you feel you have the skills, experience and motivation to function effectively in this role, please complete the application following agreement with your line manager that they are happy to support your release.
