We employ around 4,800 people across South London and other sites in the UK. It is a diverse team of talented individuals, spanning a wide range of specialities and benefiting from many world-leading healthcare experts. We deliver more than 14,000 training experiences each year for our staff, providing an extensive range of learning opportunities. Staff can benefit from exceptional professional development opportunities and we will work with you to build your career in mental health. In addition, our working relationship with King's Health Partners allows those working at the Trust to get involved in academic research.
This post offers candidates the opportunity to develop skills in working in a well-functioning Tier 3 CAMHS. Our service uses a CAPA model, which ensures we work collaboratively with service users, facilitates access for service users to be treated by clinicians best able to meet their needs and ensures a good level of support to staff in terms of regular supervision and group discussion.
Clinical psychology has played an important role in our service. The post holder will be joining a group of eight Clinical Psychologists based within Lewisham CAMHS. We have good links with the rest of the Trust for CPD and contact with Special Interest Groups. We provide placements for trainees from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience and Salomons Clinical Psychology training schemes.
A flexible approach is required of a psychologist willing to undertake psychological assessments and interventions as well as being a general case holder. S/he will take responsibility for ensuring that the emerging research base is assimilated into the thinking and practice of the team.
We are committed to helping to develop the people that come to work with us. We know that the Trust can only be as good as the people who work here and we’ll invest in you to maximise that potential. That’s why we really welcome and value people so highly. In short, if you’ve got what it takes we’d be delighted for you to come and work with us.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
