We are looking for a clinical psychologist to join the Lambeth CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team (NDT), working one day per week within the NDT and four days per week in the Lambeth Autism and Related Disorders Service (ARDS); a Guys and St Thomas’ Trust Paediatric Autism Diagnostic Service. The successful applicant will have an interest in neuropsychological assessment, and working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disabilities, and other complex neurodevelopmental difficulties, with additional mental health needs and/or behaviour that challenges.

The role is based at the Mary Sheridan Centre, co-located with child health services including paediatrics, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. The NDT and ARDS have close links and consult to specialist schools within and out of the Borough, the Children with Disabilities social care team, and Special Educational Needs services. The teams also have close links with other Lambeth CAMHS teams, and the Tier 4 National & Specialist services at the Michael Rutter Centre. The NDT and ARDS are friendly and dynamic specialist teams that value ongoing professional development. A range of psychological assessments and interventions are provided, with specialist expertise and interests in systemic, neuropsychology, positive behavioural support, CBT, and mindfulness approaches.

You will be expected to work directly and indirectly with children and young people, families, and carers to provide a range of high quality, evidence based collaborative assessments and interventions. You will have opportunity to carry out quality improvement, and patient, public involvement projects as part of your work. We are looking for someone that can offer a dynamic and creative approach to service delivery, aimed at improving the lives of children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties and/or learning disabilities.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Interview date is likely to be 8th December.
