Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of others in 2018?

The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is launching an exciting new project called ‘Work Well’ in January 2018 with a grant from the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund.
We aim to support over 300 unemployed people with mental health problems in South London move towards employment by December 2019, and we are looking for forward-thinking, enthusiastic Employment Advisers to join our new team.

As an Employment Adviser, you will work on a one-to-one basis with individuals to help them find their ideal job. You will be supported by a team of experienced employment and career professionals within the SLaM Career Management Service, who have an outstanding track record of supporting people back to work over the last 12 years. You will also be trained in using a wide range of new tools and techniques relevant to this growing field of work.

Previous experience as an Employment Adviser is desirable, but not essential. If you have experience of supporting others on a one-to-one basis, are skilled in building relationships, and above all, you have a strong passion to support people with mental health conditions into employment, we would love to hear from you!

Applicants that meet the essential requirements on the person specification will be shortlisted for a telephone interview during w/c 27th November. Successful interviewees will then be invited to an assessment centre during w/c 4th December.
