The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is launching an exciting new project called ‘Work Well’ in January 2018 with a grant from the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund. We aim to support over 300 unemployed people with mental health problems in South London move towards employment by December 2019, and we are looking for creative, positive-thinking Lead Employment Advisers to help us deliver the project.

As a Lead Employment Adviser, you will supervise a small team of Employment Advisers and will also manage your own caseload of clients to help them find work. Previous experience as an Employment Adviser or similar role is essential, as well as a desire to deliver high performance and exceed targets.

Applicants that meet the essential requirements on the person specification will be shortlisted for a telephone interview during w/c 27th November. Successful interviewees will then be invited to an assessment centre during w/c 4th December.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
