National and Specialist CAMHS are seeking to recruit a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the N&S CAMHS Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service for 4 sessions per week. This out-patient service provides DBT to adolescents with a history of self-harm and traits of emerging Borderline Personality Disorder. The successful applicant will join a well-established team which continues to embrace new development opportunities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable psychiatrist who has considerable experience of working with this client group and extensive knowledge of medication management for young people with complex difficulties and multiple comorbidities.

The current multidisciplinary team consists of several Clinical Psychologists, a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist, a Senior Family Therapist, a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (one session) and an Assistant Psychologist/Team Administrator. The service is based at the Michael Rutter Centre for Children and Young People at the Maudsley Hospital though future developments may mean that some travel may be necessary to support satellite clinics.

The provisional interview date for successful applicants is: 30th May 2018
