Lewisham CAMHS invites applications from an enthusiastic and dynamic consultant to join our existing consultant group to lead our Horizon (generic) CAMHS team. You will have a passion for working with young people in a deprived area and the challenges that this might bring. You will have experience in managing ADHD and taking a lead in this area across the service, supported by a CAMHS Pharmacist, ADHD Nurse and administrator. We have been undergoing some changes within Lewisham CAMHS, merging 2 clinical teams to form 1 generic team and implemented a form of CAPA to help with patient flow. You will help lead this dynamic team and be able to problem solve with staff and senior management team some of the difficulties that present.

You will be expected to contribute to the teaching (to post graduates / trainees as well as undergraduates that are often on placement here) locally and within the department. You will be enthusiastic about providing a high quality service and some experience in delivering Quality Improvement projects. You will also be an active support of research projects - which there have been many conducted at our site. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the research programs, as per experience, that the department offers or develop your own research that is in line with service needs. This is subject to job planning.

This role has arisen due to additional funding for other roles including crisis care and a CCG-Education role.

This post is based in the beautiful and award-winning Kaleidoscope Centre in Catford (just 7 minutes on the train from the Maudsley, Denmark Hill) and connections to DLR and Thameslink. CAMHS are co-located with Community health and some social care colleagues.

There will be an AAC interview (formal and informal) on the 13th of November - further details will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
