Carelink is a specialist multidisciplinary Tier 3 mental health team, working in close partnership with Southwark Social Services. The post-holder will undertake CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 with a formulation and diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment.

The post-holder will have a therapeutic caseload, offering therapy to Looked After and Adopted Children with complex needs including experience of complex trauma and attachment difficulties. You will also be working with their carers. You will have the ability to deliver a range of interventions for children and young people. Close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies e.g. Children’s Social Care, Child Health, Education and others is essential.

You must demonstrate an interest in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary work and be familiar with evidence-based practice. There are excellent opportunities for CPD, in-service teaching and specialist supervision.     Carelink forms part of Southwark CAMHS, with good links with a range of other specialist teams and services for children and families across the borough, you must be able to work independently and have good clinical/therapeutic and case management skills.

The team office base is in Peckham (in a modern health clinic) and we also visit some young people at home or in school, and they may be in placements outside of the borough.
