We are looking to recruit a dynamic, efficient and reliable person to join our Information Governance team. 

The post holder will be required to assist with the changes impacted by the GDPR and to support the new requirements of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

The successful candidate must have good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.  There is a requirement for the post holder to have knowledge and working experience of relevant legislation around confidential patient information, access to health records, confidentiality and privacy.  The successful candidate must also demonstrate good written and verbal communication with a variety of people, including service users, their representatives, clinicians, service managers and staff from other agencies.  It is essential that the post holder also has proficient computing skills, especially using Microsoft Office applications.

The Information Governance Team is responsible for safeguarding personal confidential information whilst facilitating its lawful fair use and effective sharing to support direct provision of care; support patients' control over their health information; use clinical information to improve care, service quality and productivity whilst respecting individuals' privacy and wishes.

The post holder will be based at the Maudsley Hospital site in a team of 9 people, the post holder will report to the Privacy Manager with overall accountability to the Head of Information Governance.
