Locum LAS CT1-3 - Psychiatry

We are looking to recruit a LAS CT1-3 doctor to work primarily on Rosa Parks Ward and Eden Ward at Lambeth Hospital with some periods of cover provided for on other acute wards on the site. This is a locum post available from February 18 until end July 2018 and potentially, depending on performance and circumstances, with extension beyond this.

The post holder will primarily be based on Rosa Parks Ward, Lambeth Hospital, working alongside a large medical team, consisting of an FY1 trainee, 2xCT trainees from The Maudsley training scheme, a part time ST4-6, a part time staff grade dr and 1.0 x fte consultant psychiatrists. Clinical supervision will be provided by the consultant.

The post is based on the Rosa Parks Ward at Lambeth Hospital. This ward accepts acute admissions and provides rapid assessment and treatment to patients with a broad range of psychiatric conditions and who are suffering a mental health crisis in the context of this. The post holder will also be required to provide cover to Eden Ward (PICU ward) and other acute wards at Lambeth Hospital when their CT doctor is on leave.

The post would be suitable for an enthusiastic doctor who is considering a more formal training in psychiatry or a doctor who is temporarily outside of training but wishes to pursue further training in psychiatry.
