We are pleased to be able to offer this unique opportunity to join the South London and Maudsley liaison psychiatry service for a year as a Clinical Fellow. We are looking for general adult or older adult psychiatry higher trainees ST4-6 who are looking for an 'out of programme experience' (OOPE), or trainees between their core and higher training looking for a year of something a little bit different.

The 3 posts, based at Lewisham, St Thomas', and King's College hospitals, will be split between clinical work in liaison psychiatry and some service development (please note that interviews are currently underway and all 3 posts may not be available at time of second interview), helping us assess the outcomes of recent CORE24 investment. The posts will include adult and older adult liaison experience. We are hopeful that postholders will be able to individually apply to the RCPsych Quality Assurance Committee for recognition for these posts as training posts, so that they can be recognised as endorsements in liaison. The posts will have the same level of supervision, and access to training, research and clinical governance experience, as any of our ST4-6 trainees.

We are a forward thinking, nationally renowned liaison team, and look forward to receiving applications from trainees who are considering liaison psychiatry as a career, and are enthusiastic team workers, who are keen to learn, flexible and personable.
