We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our large workforce of Occupational Therapists working within Acute Mental Health Care. South London and Maudsley has a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit within each of it's four boroughs.

This vacancy has recently become available on  the Johnson Unit, a PICU ward for men based at the Ladywell,  at Lewisham Hospital. You will join a large group of OT staff who are currently working on a range of inpatient wards on the site. 

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, creative, forward thinking and hard-working occupational therapist with solid mental health experience. You will be competent in carrying out occupationally focused assessments and interventions in a busy environment. It is fundamental that you hold a genuine interest in working with this population and place service users and their recovery at the heart of your practice .

You will be working within a committed multi-disciplinary team where occupationally focused interventions are considered an important aspect of the care pathway. Your continuing professional development will be actively supported through regular supervision and appraisal, plus a range of additional opportunities such as; Trust wide PICU OT peer support, External peer support with PICU OT's in other Trusts, attendance at NPICU conferences and many more.
