This post is with the Southwark High Support Team. It involves working with complex co-morbid clinical presentations (psychosis, autism, PD, trauma, challenging behaviour) with a highly skilled multi-professional community rehabilitation. Psychology has a key role in this team.

You will be working with adults with complex mental health problems and who have additional mental health difficulties and/or behaviour that challenges, and their networks.

Although this team is in Southwark you will have access to an experienced and well established Complex Care Psychology team that provide psychological and behavioural support service across the boroughs of Lewisham, Croydon, Lambeth & Southwark.

The successful applicant will be a member of a borough team that is managed by a Team Leader, working jointly with Psychiatry, OT, and CPN colleagues. The team provides interventions as part of multidisciplinary care plan.

You will be expected to work directly and indirectly with people with complex mental health needs, families, and carers to provide a range of high quality, evidence-based collaborative assessments and interventions. You will be expected to carry out audits as part of your work. We are looking for someone that can bring a dynamic and creative approach to service delivery, aimed at improving the lives of people with complex mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour.

You will be expected to make use of regular CPD sessions within the Trust as well as special interest/supervision groups offered by psychologists within the service, aimed at further developing therapeutic skills and knowledge. We have close links with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) and Kings Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre, and research interests will be supported in a way commensurate with the post.
