Ruskin Ward is a 19 bed all female Mental health acute ward based within the well renowned Maudsley hospital and currently under the Southwark Directorate.
We are enthusiastically seeking for a individually whom believes in upholding South London and Maudsley commitment to hard work and dedication to offer the best possible care to the patients whom come into contact with the service.
To excel in this role as a Practice Development Nurse Band 6 you will need to be an experienced RMN who is enthusiastic about working with people with complex mental illness and who is able to demonstrate a real commitment to providing high quality and compassionate care to patients and their families/carers.
Working as part of a multi –disciplinary team you will have excellent communication skills and team working abilities. A key role of the Practice Development Nurse is to lead by example and be a role model for the nursing team. We are looking for an individual who is able to support junior staff and students in their professional development, through excellent and effective clinical leadership and sharing of knowledge.
You will work very closely with the ward manager and other Clinical Charge Nurses to ensure that the unit maintains the highest standard of care provision and safe level of staffing. The post holder will have a role in all aspects of service development and improvement. In return our service will provide you with high levels of supervision and support during your working career with us and provide you with personal development plans to help you develop in this role.
